I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), also an accredited member of The Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners (AHPP) and a member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My training background includes Integrative Humanistic Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy training at The School of Counselling and Psychotherapy based at The Whittington NHS Hospital including Gestalt couples therapy training with Joseph Zinker, Trauma reduction training with Babette Rothchild, and Psychosexual therapy training.
I have a background in Community Drama, Theatre for Development, Dramatherapy the creative process informs my work as a psychotherapist.
I maintain a Psychotherapy and Counselling practice in based in London, I work with client all over the world.
Working with a diverse range of issues with individuals, couples and groups, including work with young people and children, using Dramatherapy and creative mediums to provide emotional and therapeutic support. I have run psychotherapy groups for over 18 years dealing with a range of issues. I offer consultancy and supervision to individuals and organisations.
I have worked within the NHS, and in within corporate, statutory and voluntary sectors. I offer consultancy and training to individuals and a wide variety of organisations, including EAP’s, MIND, BACP, IAPT, Metanioa, West Hampstead Women’s Centre, Psychology Works, Victim Support, London Friend, London School of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Bristol University, Birkbeck College, and Roehampton Institute.
I am pleased to be assisting others with the process of embracing change. I discovered in my practice that psychotherapy combined with other disciplines I studied brought better results helping people to open their hearts to accept love and the capacity to heal from self others.
I have a deep grounding and understanding of models and approaches in Psychotherapy, meditation and the spiritual path, and a profound appreciation of how different spiritual practices and traditions fit together as a whole to form a healing modality.
I bring to my practice and approach an appreciation of the healing power of myth ritual and play. I have a long standing interest and practice in Pranic healing, Chi Kung and Yoga which fuels my interest in working with energy, creativity and life force (chi, prana). Transformation and healing through the creative process is a central theme of my work. Aisha is currently working on a book.
